Namco has revealed their lineup for E3 2007 and there's something to note for Katamari fans: Beautiful Katamari™ Release date: Fall 2007 Platform: Xbox 360 The King of All Cosmos, the Prince and all his cousins are back, making their debut in high definition on the Xbox 360 in an all-new wacky adventure. With new mission types, cousins, online multiplayer support for up to four friends via Xbox Live and the series’ timeless rolling gameplay, it’s the most outlandish Katamari adventure yet! Other multiplatform games are marked for all the platforms for which they will be released, so we can accept this as official confirmation that Beautiful Katamari will not be coming to the PlayStation 3. According to PS3 Center, the latest issue of Famitsu says the cancellation was because of "programming problems" on the PlayStation 3 hardware. Much more interesting is that Famitsu claims that the game will be coming to the Wii as well as the 360. The Wii version's absence from the E3 lineup doesn't mean that Famitsu is wrong, it just means that the Wii version isn't far along enough in development to be shown to the public. KotN will continue to bring you updates as E3 progresses.

| Beautiful Katamari section launched |

Our Beautiful Katamari section is now online, along with a couple slight redesigns to the site's navigation and main page. Funny story. You see, when I designed this site, I designed it thinking that Katamari was a "dead" series, as in, there wouldn't be any more games coming out. The series' creator had said he was finished, and Namco shut down the series' main page with a "goodbye" message. Now that there are new games on the way, there's no need for a "future of Katamari" section or a header talking about why I made a site for a dead series. SO...the header/intro has been replaced with a new section, aptly titled "Latest Stuff to Know About," which will run steamers for our featured sections. I also went ahead and finished up the "Creator" section, which is essentially a condensed biography of Keita Takahashi. It's worth a look, he's got a pretty interesting philosophy about game design. The "character" section should launch sometime within the next month. It's a doozie: I've got bios prepped for more than 50 of the cousins, so keep an eye out for that update later.

Katamari on the Net is pleased to announce its formal opening to the public! This site has been in the making for close to a year in the time I've had free from working on Sonic World. We're currently the only English-based Katamari Damacy resource. We don't have a lot of content at the moment, and there are still a few broken links, but have a look around!
