What is Katamari? A "katamari" is the highly adheshive ball rolled by the player in the Katamari Damacy series. The word "katamari" literally translates to mean "clump," and that's exactly what it is: a clump of everything. Anything that comes in contact with a katamari of a larger volume gets stuck to it.

The games put you in the role of the Prince or one of his many cousins rolling a katamari around various locations. What's the point? The King of All Cosmos wants to make stars, and katamaris are the perfect source. As these balls get bigger and bigger like a snowball, the King can make bigger and brighter stars to fill the night sky. And best of all, his fans love it!
